We're Moving.

Keri 7 We're moving our blog, that is.  Mike has figured out a way for us to both blog from an already-existent template on his DotMac account.  He created Postcards from Stumptown yesterday, so feel free to update your bookmarks, and head on over.

I will be leaving this site up for the next 6 weeks or so.  After that, it will be gone forever.  Wah.  I'll be printing out a hard copy since this blog has chronicled the past 2 years of my adventures.

Mike and I will both be blogging from the new site, so there should be more regular updates.  That's the hope.  We really do want to keep everybody posted on our news.  See you over there!

Twins!!!!!

IMG_5352 No, we're not having twins. We're dressed as twins, but not on purpose.  I picked Mike up the other day, and this is how we were dressed for work.  It had to happen sometime.

You may notice that my belly is much bigger than the last time you saw it.  We have a new family member coming to join us in October.  Totally exciting.  We're 6.5 months into the pregnancy at this point so I thought it was about time to make it public on the blog.

I'm really starting to feel a lot more pregnant, and frankly I could use an outlet for some of my humorous thoughts on the matter.  Plus, it gives me something really fun to blog about!

0609081457 This is the ultrasound at 20 weeks.  We are not going to find out whether it is a baby with a penis or a baby with a vagina until he/she is born.  Both of us are pretty excited about having a baby alone. The sex of the baby is going to be even more of a great surprise.

We're getting pretty excited to meet this person.  A few weeks ago, it really started to feel like there was someone else living in our home.  The baby is starting to exert it's opinions about things.  It is also starting to wake me up in the morning with it's kickboxing routine.  Everything is going well.

So this blog is going to take on a new flavor.  Keep checking back for more updates.  We'll be documenting!

Say Cheese!

I love it when I'm looking through my photos and I find people cheesing for the camera.
Here is my daily selection of cheese and funny faces for your enjoyment:

p.s. Does anybody know how to get flickr mosaics imported directly into the blog (instead of having it linked to the website?)

Woah, trippy.

My mama sent these rainbow-flamed birthday candles for my cake this year.  Woah.  They make all different colored flames like I've never seen!  So cool!  I love them and am going to keep them for next year.  Seeing all 30 of them lit up was awesome.  Thanks mama!

before going to Tiger TigerIMG_5101

after going to Tiger Tiger.IMG_5110 I'll spare you the photo of the 12 inch ponytail I'm sending in to Locks of Love.  It's a good thing I decided against dreadlocks last year.  They don't take them.  ;)

I heart my nephew.

This picture was taken over the holidays, but I just love him.  He is a grown up 2 year-old now who calls ketchup "ketchup" instead of "cat poop".  They're coming to visit in August which makes me ever so happy!  I was just thinking about it so I had to share.  I'm going to take him berry picking and dancing and hiking.  I can't wait!

Scenes from SE Portland

Whew doggie!  It has been a hot one in Portland this week.  As I am typing this post at noon, the temp is 82!  That means it's likely to get up to the high 80's by the end of the day.  We don't normally see weather like this in May here, so I'm loving it.

It was in the 80's and 90's all weekend.  By the end of Friday, I felt like I had been walking around Honolulu all day.  Nice feeling for sure.  Our garden is also loving the weather.  It looks like a totally different yard than this time last week.  We took no time in getting all summery around here.  I think Mike and I are both summer-lovers....even when it is totally abrupt!  I am also including some photos of our lilac and cherry trees.  I love them both.  I love Oregon.
